Avenues & Opportunities
While there are plenty of challenges each of us are facing and have been for over a year, I want to share some positive news. In the wake of learning to do church in new ways, we at Inman Mennonite Church have found there are many people viewing our online services, people we do not yet know. We know the numbers do not tell the entire story; however, they do tell us one thing, people are at the very least seeing who we are and are seeing a portion of our services, nearly 300 per week. For a church with regular attendees of 70 or so, this is a great blessing and an opportunity to share the gospel in new ways.
Over the last 18 months, we have upgraded our sound and video equipment to improve our presentations and we have been using a company called Boxcast to stream our services. While there is a yearly fee for their service, they do a fantastic job of making things really simple for us. In the near future, we plan on looking at more ways to use technology to improve our online presentations. We are also looking for ways to connect with the people who have found us in this crazy world we are now living in. Yes, the world has thrown us a lot of lemons for over a year now, however I hope this little blessing we have seen is inspiration for us all to go find new ways to make our own lemonade.
