Healthy Boundary Training

SCC will host a healthy boundaries training course on Saturday November 7, 2020 from 8AM-NOON Central Time (REGISTER HERE). Along with trainer, Tonia Martin, we have decided not to offer the full Healthy Boundaries 201 course but rather a more succinct and tailored Healthy Boundaries training that uses Faith Trust Institute Healthy Boundaries 201 resources to review the essentials of boundary awareness and discuss current boundary issues in the time of a pandemic. In the midst of a world where boundaries are often resented and at times resisted, we also find ourselves in need of healthy boundaries in our lives. Healthy Boundaries 201 takes a deeper look into the need for boundaries, the theology of boundaries and power and vulnerability. During this time together we will look together at what it means to live with healthy boundaries in various areas of our lives. We will spend 4 hours together over zoom with time for presentation, reflection, and small group discussion. While participation in the course will not earn participants a Healthy Boundaries 201 course completion certificate, leaders who are required to complete a boundary training in order to keep their SCC credential in good standing can be assured this training will meet that requirement. If you would like to participate in the full Faith Trust Institute Healthy Boundaries 201 course and earn a certificate of completion please contact Western District Conference and plan to attend their Healthy Boundaries 201 course being offered October 13, 2020.
