Dale Kauffman Ordained at Journey, Yoder, KS
“I was called, but never asked.” Dale Kauffman, one of the pastoral team of four at Journey Mennonite Church in Yoder, sensed a call to pastoral ministry as a youth but went on to become a farmer and college professor, at least in part, because nobody asked. Nobody asked him to consider or serve as a pastor. However, about four years ago while serving on a Pastoral Search Committee for the Yoder church, he got asked. “Dale, you could be our pastor.” It was with great personal and congregational joy that Pastor Dale was ordained on Sunday, April 8. The church was packed. The singing was enthusiastic. Dale’s testimony was deeply moving and God was glorified.
