Honoring Tim Sweigart’s Service

Tim Sweigart began as Moderator-Elect of SCMC in 2016 and became Moderator in July 2017.  He has faithfully served as moderator of South Central Mennonite Conference, pouring his heart and soul into this servant leadership role.  We are grateful for his leadership and heart for the church.  He ended his time serving the conference in this formal role this summer though he continues to stay in touch with the conference’s mission and vision.  Tim led SCMC through two years of vision and discernment that have continued into the Discovery 20.21 process.  He has built deep and meaningful relationships with many across the conference and never turns down the chance to meet face to face for coffee or a meal.  We are grateful for Tim’s leadership that has led the conference to do some of the hard work of visioning and discernment.  In honor of Tim’s 4 years of service to SCMC, the Network Leadership Team has made a $100 donation to Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA), an organization we know he wholeheartedly believes in, and gifted him the pictured metal work wall hanging of one of his favorite scripture verses.  God Bless You, Tim, as you continue to serve Him in your ongoing relationships and service to the church.
