So Now, What…? A youth worker appreciation and resourcing event.
Announcing “So Now, What…?”, the upcoming youth worker appreciation
and resourcing event, sponsored by South Central and Western District
Conference Youth Ministry. You (and any others who work with youth in
your congregation) are invited to join!
Time: Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 4:00-6:30pm
Place: Online and In-person at Shalom Mennonite Church, Newton
Topic: So Now, What…? We’ve been living with Covid 19 for about a
year and a half, and apparently we aren’t done with it yet. What have
we learned, what should we learn about youth ministry from this
experience? Can we grow closer to being Christ’s Body through this
experience? Come prepared to share and to listen!
So the hybrid model requires a little extra explaining.
For those meeting online: We’ll be exploring the topic from 4:00 to
about 5:45. During that time, you are invited to have available
whatever kind of munchies you enjoy! We will reimburse you $10/person
to encourage you to bring chips and salsa, pita chips and humus,
apricots and chocolate chips—whatever turns your crank—for you to
enjoy while we meet. We will probably conclude the online meeting at
5:45, unless conversation tells us to keep it going.
For those meeting in-person: In addition to meeting from 4:00-5:45,
at 5:45 we’ll have a catered supper. Please let us know any food
sensitivities we should be aware of.
Please RSVP to Dwight Regier by Monday, August 16 (email dwightr@mennowdc.org).
