Spring Valley continues legacy of Giving

John Sharp has written First on the Prairie, The Story of Spring Valley Mennonite Church, in which he tells the story of the oldest Mennonite Church in Kansas. He says that during the 1940’s and 1950’s, most years the congregation gave more than 80% of their budget to missions away from their local congregation. Spring Valley’s current average attendance is 30 and they continue to be generous in their giving. On October 11, 2020 this congregation took their annual Fall Missionary Day offering which was more than $7,400.00. Five thousand was given to help support the Amani Community Church plant in Wichita and the balance was sent to help Eden Life Church in Kansas City. Praise God for this legacy of generosity!
