UCIM Interim Ministry Coach

In March Tim Sweigart was named interim Regional Ministry Coach of UCIM for a six-month term.  In this new role, on April 21 he went on his first trip to South Texas to connect with 9 of the UCIM pastors.  The reasons for this visit included listening to challenges pastors were facing during Covid, imagining what is needed for reopening in-person gatherings, and learning from pastors what is most needed for healthier relationships with the communities they serve.

        Tim reports, “I was very blessed with great conversations ranging from acknowledging leadership fatigue to sharing new ideas about reaching out into the communities. I also was able to get a first-hand view of some of the border challenges that these communities face.”  Tim will travel to Texas again in June and says, “I look forward to returning to have more conversations about the future with these congregations.”
