Update: Kansas City Church Plant
Omot and Hanna Aganya and their three children, Awellie 12, Solomon 9 and Beagweath 8, moved from Minneapolis to Kansas City on July 3, 2016. They will be working with South Central Conference to plant a church in the Kansas City area. For the first few weeks, they will be getting settled in their rented house and then they will start forming Bible Study groups in different places in the city. They very much believe that God is guiding their efforts and will be preparing the hearts of the people who they will try to reach. There have been many instances of the leading and provision of the Spirit as this church plant process has taken shape that we could, and will continue to, share. One simple way in which we could see the hand of God is that their neighbors just one house away, who also have school age children, have turned out to be people from South Sudan (Omot and Hanna come from a city right on the border between Ethiopia and South Sudan). They are making other good contacts in their neighborhood. Pray for them as they are getting settled and then as they reach out with the Gospel to people living in the Kansas City area.
