Woman to Woman Grant
A vision by Mennonite Women of SCC leadership several years ago led to the creation of a grant program for women from South Central Mennonite Conference churches. All funds are used to help women in their role as a church/community leader or who are experiencing unusual family expenses. Some examples of grants that have been funded include helping pay for conferences, counseling and unexpected expenses. We recently gave grants to help pay for a car (transportation to a job) and to meet monthly expenses when one of the breadwinners was unable to work.
As summer approaches, many organizations will end their year of meetings. Perhaps you, or an organization you’re a part of, have funds that could be distributed to make a difference in the life of a woman, or an entire family. We would love for you to select the Woman to Woman grant fund for that project! As grants are given to women in our churches, we want to maintain a balance that will allow us to help each other. Please help us continue this mission with your donations! You can find information about the grant on the SCC web site, Mennonite Women tab. (sccmenno.org) Donations can be sent to Myrna Cherry, PO Box 239, Hesston, Kansas 67062 or to the SCC offices.
