Whitestone Pastor Graduates from AMBS
On May 6, Kurt and Elaine Horst traveled with Ron and Sue Moyo to Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana. They were there to represent the Whitestone congregation at Ron’s graduation, having completed a Master of Divinity degree with a major in Pastoral Ministry. In the fall of 2017, Whitestone made it possible for Ron to take a big step toward completing his degree by spending a semester of study on campus. Most of Ron’s degree work was completed through the seminary’s Master of Divinity Connect program. Ron previously earned his Associate of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministries from Hesston College.
Reflecting on his studies Ron affirmed his academic studies as an “amazing journey” that included classmates who came from a variety of cultural backgrounds. His graduating class included persons from nine states and one person, in addition to Ron, who came to the U.S. as a political refugee.
Ron looks forward to continuing his ministry as Outreach Pastor at Whitestone.
